Who are we?
At City Year, we believe that all students can succeed and that developing the skills and mindsets of children and young adults contributes to strong, vibrant communities—outcomes that benefit all of us.
Our City Year AmeriCorps members serve in schools all day, every day, preparing students with the social, emotional and academic skills and mindsets to succeed in school and in life.
What do we do?
City Year supports students both in-school and afterschool in addition to offering free tutoring, snack, and various enrichment clubs for 3 hours.
Enrichment clubs focusing on wellness, stem, and leadership are facilitated during the extended day in the SONYC afterschool program students. Students are also given the opportunity cook, journal, dance, and do various crafts during our afterschool programming!
